Blood Pregnancy Test (Beta hCG)
The pregnancy blood test measures the level of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in the blood. This pregnancy blood test quantitatively measures the exact amount of hCG hormone, sometimes called the pregnancy hormone, produced during pregnancy. Levels of hCG may also be elevated in individuals with other diseases, such as tumors of the ovaries, bladder, pancreas, stomach, lungs, and liver. The hCG test is used primarily to confirm (or rule out) pregnancies and, in the event of a pregnancy, determine the gestational age of the fetus. Test results may take 1-2 business days after you order online and visit lab.
