STD Testing

Testing for STDs can be a scary and sensitive subject.  At Health Testing Centers’ we make sexual health testing as discreet and convenient as possible.  All test results are confidential and are not part of your medical record unless you choose to share them with your doctor.  If you are tested by your doctor or by a county or state clinic / free testing service your test results will permanently become part of your medical record.  No physical exams or swabs are used and there is no need to remove your clothing. All tests are convenient blood or urine tests.  The lab that you visit has all types of patients and laboratory testing being performed. Women’s STD Symptoms

• Pain (either during sex, persistent in the lower abdomen or increased during the menstrual cycle) 
• Unpleasant odor

 Men’s STD Symptoms

• Pus or unusual discharge 

If you or your partner have any of these symptoms it is important to get tested immediately.  Even if you are not exhibiting symptoms but you are sexually active it is important to monitor your sexual health with STD testing.  Some STDs such as Chlamydia and Herpes can generate no symptoms, especially in women.  Testing for STDs is also not part of an woman's annual gynecological exam.
