Lactic Acid Dehydrogenase (LD)
This test is used to measure the level of Lactic Acid Dehydrogenase (LD) in the blood.
The Lactic Acid Dehydrogenase (LD) test may be used to evaluate or indicate the presence of tissue or cellular damage. When cells are destroyed the enzyme, LD is released into the blood stream. the level of LD may rise in the body due to other conditions such as meningitis, certain types of cancer, as well as the accumulation of fluid in certain parts of the body. This test is commonly ordered with the Complete Metabolic Panel and other Liver function tests.

3. Get Results
