Chicken Pox & Shingles
This test measures antibodies produced by the body in response to infection with the varicella zoster virus (VZV). VZV causes chicken pox and shingles.
This test measures the level of IgG antibodies, which are produced after the initial infection or vaccination. The presence of IgG antibodies above a certain level is consistent with immunity to VZV, either from previous infection with chicken pox, or from vaccination for chicken pox or shingles.
Test results may take 2-3 business days.
