How do I order online lab testing?
You can order your own FDA approved or LDT laboratory testing online or by phone from Health Testing Centers and walk-in to a local lab location with a lab requisition to have your testing services performed. Direct-access-testing allows you to monitor your blood chemistry and biomarkers by ordering blood work such as complete blood count (CBC), comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP), lipid panel, blood sugar or thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) levels.
These common blood tests include a doctor's order and provide the blood chemistry associated with an annual checkup from a healthcare provider. Ordering your own lab tests is a valuable tool if you have high deductible health insurance or if you are managing certain medical conditions. You can take charge of your health by ordering blood testing online from Health Testing Centers.
Can you order your own blood testing without going to a Doctor?
When you order tests from Health Testing Centers it includes the doctor’s order. Direct-access laboratory testing provides the same FDA approved and LDT tests ordered by your physician from the same CLIA certified laboratories. You pay private-pay prices with a credit card, online checkout is easy. There are no additional fees for lab services or blood work. We do not bill your health insurance company.
Once you receive your laboratory requisition form from Health Testing Centers, you can visit a LabCorp or Quest Diagnostics patient service center to have your testing performed. Alternatively you can choose to have an at-home test kit sent to you. All test orders and lab test results are reviewed by our physicians. We make the process simple and convenient to order blood tests.
How do I prepare for a lab testing visit?
After ordering your lab testing online and prior to visiting the lab, please note the Health Testing Centers test descriptions for preparation instructions, such as fasting. You should take a printed copy of the lab requisition to the lab patient service center.
To visit a patient service center you must not be exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 for 10 days prior. You are required to wear a face mask. You should maintain social distancing. At some locations you are encouraged to wait outside or in your car once you have checked in.
