Individual STD Tests available in ANAHEIM, CA:

HIV Blood Test

The Centers for Disease Control have reported that about 1.2 million American citizens are infected with HIV and that nearly quarter of them are uninformed that they are infected. Human Immunodeficiency Virus, also known as HIV can be spread through the sharing of dirty needles, unprotected sexual activities, breast milk and an infected woman passing the disease to her child at birth.

Recent Exposure STD Testing

Seek early testing for a possible STD infection if you have reason to believe you've been exposed. Even if the exposure was as few as 28 days prior, a recent Exposure STD test will be able to give you the results you're looking for. Through this results of this test, you can quickly begin the recovery process.

Hepatitis B Blood Test

Sexual contact with an infected person or sharing a contaminated needle can lead to a Hepatitis B infection. The disease's effects range from a lifelong illness to a far milder version that lasts only a matter of weeks.

Herpes Simplex Virus (I.II, IgG) Blood Test

The two strains of herpes simplex virus (HSV) are the cause of the STD known as genital herpes. Herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1) typically causes oral herpes (also called “cold sores” or “fever blisters”) but it has also started to cause genital herpes among the more sexually active young adults. Nevertheless, most genital herpes is still caused by herpes simplex virus 2 (HSV-2). You can catch herpes simplex virus through direct contact with either an infected sore or the bodily secretions of an infected individual.

Syphilis – Rapid Plasma Reagin (RPR) Blood Test

Although syphilis is thankfully a treatable STD, if left untreated it can have grave effects on the infected person. Syphilis is transmitted through various sexual means including vaginal and anal intercourse. Its symptoms are varied and not always easy to distinguish from another illness. It has the potential to lead to severe damage to many organs if left unchecked, but a proper course of antibiotics can prevent that damage.

Hepatitis C Blood Test

Although nearly 200 million are infected with hepatitis C, some may not know it as the disease is frequently asymptomatic. It can, however, have serious effects on one's body in the form of liver damage. The disease is believed to be spread through the exchange of bodily fluids.

Chlamydia Test

Most types of sexual activity, including penetrative and oral sex, can transmit the most common bacterial STD in the United States, chlamydia. This particular infection generally shows little or no symptoms, leaving those infected to be in the dark until a STD test is given. Sexually active people are at risk of this STD, especially if they have more than one partner.

Gonorrhea Test

Gonorrhea is a bacteria which plants itself in the orifices of the human body, such as: the reproductive tract, the urethra, the anus, the mouth, the throat, and the eyes. Its hosts often do not show any signs that they have the disease, and so as many as 10% of infected males and 50% of infected females do not know they have gonorrhea. Without treatment, the sufferer of a gonorrhea infection can be at serious risk of further illness.

If you think you may need an STD test, give us a call. Our nurses are on hand to discuss the various STD tests that are available. They are trained to walk you through what you need to know and determine if you need to be tested. By asking questions and finding out about your situation, they will tell you what test(s) you should get done. After you have been tested, our nurses are still there for you to discuss your results with you. If treatment is needed, they will inform you about the best course for you to follow.

Our Health Testing Centers follow a strict code of confidentiality. You may choose to come here under an alias, or you can always use your own name. This is different from a doctor’s office or clinic you may go to. When you get tested at one of these, you are tested under your own name and the test and the results become part of your permanent medical record. Another difference is that we do not require a physical exam as part of your testing process. If you go to a clinic or doctor’s office, you will most likely be subject to a physical. The results of your test are completely private when using our services. You are the only one who knows the results, unless you choose to share them with someone else. Because the labs that do our testing are also used for other tests, no one will be able to guess the reason for your visit. Our services are quick and you can expect to know the outcome of your tests within three working days.

For more information about STDs and STD Testing you can visit the Centers for Disease Control or WebMD.
