Rubella Antibodies, IgG

Rubella is a common childhood disease that causes a rash on the skin. The presence of rubella antibodies in the blood indicates that a person either has the disease or has previously had the disease or that they have been vaccinated against the disease. A rubella blood test is commonly performed as part of an immunization screening and for women who are pregnant or want to become pregnant to determine the risk for rubella.
