Chromium is an element that occurs in two states, one common form is trivalent chromium (Cr III), an important dietary nutrient. Trivalent chromium is obtained from eating vegetable or meats that have high concentrations of chromium or even in rare cases through drinking water.
Safe levels of dietary ingestion are between 70 and 80 micrograms per day of natural chromium. This chromium blood test is the prevailing test to measure dietary ingestion of trivalent chromium.
